6th Thing

November 14, 2008 at 8:34 am (Uncategorized)

Well I managed to upload a photo from home onto flickr.  It’s a picture of the canal boat we stayed on in Cheshire earlier in the year.  (Didn’t want to put any photos of people because we had to make it public.)  I will now attempt to get the photo from flickr onto here…

Oh well – I’ve spent the last 30 minutes messing around but can’t do it!  I’ve tried the ‘add media’ key on here but I must not be filling in the details correctly because it doesn’t work.  So I tried to find the ‘Flickr blogging tool,’ as mentioned in the 25 things instructions, but I can’t find that either!  Not very happy.  Maybe the instructions on our 25 things guide need to be clearer for us novices.  I’ll ask someone and try again later.

In the meantime, I’ll have a look at 7th Thing.

Here I am again.  Refreshed after the weekend!  I’ll try again…

Hooray!!!  It actually worked!  I have to say the ‘add media’ on here is not that clear.  You have to put the URL into the ‘source’ box whereas there is a ‘link’ box further down which I thought you would put it in.  Anyway, with Dave’s help I have managed it.  Thanks Dave.

    Hi Rebholl,

I’ve also been struggling with the ‘6th Thing’! Finally did find the ‘Flickr blogging tool’ – by accident! If you click on your photo to enlarge it, extra function buttons appear at the top of the photo!

    Have fun!

I think I stayed off there 1 night this Sept. Is it on the way to Chester and is there a little pub over the bridge? If so I did!!
