I made it! I’ve just completed the survey.
This has been an interesting and worthwhile experience. Thanks.

Well here I am – nearing the finishing post. Just been reading my blog back and remembering what we’ve learnt. I’m really impressed at the amount of things we’ve done. I had probably had a go with about 5 of them before this so I have learnt a lot! Things I have enjoyed and will probably continue to use include: Flickr, Google maps, wikipedia, facebook, you tube and online image generators. In other words, the things that I would use in my social life. I can’t see me using any of the ‘Things’ for work really. Things that I don’t envisage using in the future include: RSS feeds, Twitter and googledocs.
Overall, I think it’s been a great learning experience. Thanks.

I love the idea of Podcasts. Useful if you want to listen again to radio programmes. Also would be great to download radio dramas and things to listen on MP3 player.
I looked at the BBC podcasts and decided to listen to a bit of Chris Evans from last Friday that I missed. He had U2 on and I wished I had heard it so it was good to be able to get access to it. Here’s the link: javascript:loadFeed(988,’Chris%20Evans%20Drivetime%20-%20The%20Best%20Bits’,232315);
Just bought myself a new MP3 so I’ll have to try and investigate podcasts further…

I had a look around You Tube. Have looked at it briefly before with my kids. Think it’s great fun. Found an some interesting science experiment clips. Here’s a good one: <object width=”480″ height=”295″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/ZYh4SxE7Xp8&hl=en&fs=1″></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”></param><embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/ZYh4SxE7Xp8&hl=en&fs=1” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”480″ height=”295″></embed></object>
Hope that works!!
As with a lot of these things, you need to spend time on the computer to get the most out of them. I like the idea of You Tube, if you’ve got the time.

Signed up to Library Thing. Entered a few books and found it interesting that it automatically suggests other books you might like, based on the books in your library. I can see it would be great to contact people and get other recommendations for books to read. However, as always with me, I would find it hard to find to make the most of this website. Good to know about though.

Set up a google document with my 3 favourite TV shows on it. Found it a bit tricky and not very user-friendly.
It is a bit of fun I suppose but can’t really see the point of it.

Ok I will now try and insert a picture from Image Chef:
Brilliant! It’s a football shirt for my little boy (I was going to do one for my husband ’cause he’s the real fan but thought that might be a bit cheesy.!)
Here’s the link for ImageChef http://www.imagechef.com/
Will try some more later.
Ok here’s my avatar from http://FaceYourManga.com :
Ooops, that didn’t work! Saved it in my pictures. Will have to try and put a link in here later….

Just joined twitter and had a quick go. Interesting but it’s not much good for people like me who don’t keep things updated regularly!

I am now on Facebook. A friend asked me to join months ago so she’s happy that I’ve finally got around to it! I’ve had great fun finding college friends and looking at photos of their kids, etc. However, as some of you will probably have seen, I now have a whole selection of embarassing uni photos of myself on there – curtesy of the aforementioned friends!!
I think Facebook is a great tool for keeping in contact with friends all over the world. I don’t think I’ll be using it as much as a lot of my friends – I don’t really have time. They play games with each other and that sort of thing. Cammyz has got me to start Hatchlings, but I don’t really know what I’m doing yet! I have also just poked someone!
All in all, I have enjoyed this ‘Thing.’

Had a look at Google Earth (managed to download it on work PC – hopefully won’t get into trouble…!)
It’s fascinating but I can see why privacy issues need to be considered. I suppose it’s a bit of a nightmare if you are a film star or a WAG. I don’t suppose anyone will be too interested in looking in my back garden so I shouldn’t lose too much sleep about it.
